Learn how to stay safe while having fun in the sun this summer. Join WellcomeMD and Dr. Christine S. Rausch from the Skin Surgery Center of Virginia for an interactive discussion on how to prevent the development of skin cancer. Dr. Rausch will also review how to detect skin cancer and how to treat it, including the effectiveness of Mohs surgery.
Dr. Rausch is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she graduated as one of the top students in her class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society early in her junior year. She is a Mohs College graduate, having done the extra one-year fellowship training program in skin cancer surgery, pathology and advanced reconstructive surgery.
Complimentary wine and refreshments will be available at 6 p.m. and Dr. Rausch’s discussion will begin at 6:30.
