Dr. Emmanuel Quaye to Join WellcomeMD Mooresville

August 21, 2023 - Mooresville, VA - Dr. Emmanuel Quaye has joined concierge medical practice WellcomeMD in Mooresville, NC. Dr. Quaye was trained as a doctor of internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta. He is certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine, a specialty that has been focal for the past decade.
Dr. Quaye is also a veteran of traditional inpatient and outpatient internal medicine, so his current practice with WellcomeMD is a blend of traditional and functional, science-based healthcare.
"I love practicing clinical medicine," he has said in connection with inaugurating his WellcomeMD practice in Mooresville, North Carolina, which opened in 2020. "And applying functional medicine in my practice has been one of the best things to happen to my medical career."
He has worked as a hospitalist, and was assistant medical director of the Urgent Care Center at Atlanta's Grady Hospital. He founded and operated his own private-practice functional medicine clinic. He has served on the faculty at the Morehouse School of Medicine, and he is a co-author on medical journal articles on topics such as hypertension, depression, and enzymes. He has led or co-led several grant-funded research projects.
